Building Resilience Through Storytelling -Workshop



Building Resilience Through Storytelling Workshop leader: Christine Carlton believes in the power of Storytelling to engage, affirm and transform the human spirit. For more than twenty years Christine has worked as a freelance Consultant, Facilitator and Educator in the areas of Story, Drama and the Creative Arts in Education and Community Development. In a number of capacities, she works with young children, youth and adults.
Christine lectures in Storytelling and Drama in Education at the University of Western Sydney, conducts teacher inservice programmes, workshops with children and adult storytellers, Creative Retreats and facilitates creative processes at state, national and international conferences.

While storytelling is very popular in many other countries, in Australia it's largely misunderstood as meaning reading to children. But storytelling is not reading, and it's certainly not just for children!

Come along and experience the art of storytelling adult style with a shadowy night of spooky tales in an intimate setting by candlelight with professional storytellers and live musicians.
